Leah Forrest, PA-C is a nationally certified Physician Associate with training and interest in evidence-based, preventative, and lifestyle-focused medicine. Leah earned her Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Health Sciences from Boston University. She went on to work for two years at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, gaining experience in Internal Medicine, Medical-Surgical units, as well as the Specialized Pulmonary Unit during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Leah completed her Physician Associate training at Pace University–Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City, where she developed a strong foundation in high-quality, patient-centered care. Her clinical training included rotations in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Sports Medicine, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Women’s Health/OBGYN, Pediatrics, Dermatology, and Emergency Medicine, allowing her to care for patients across the lifespan and in a wide range of clinical settings. Throughout her training, Leah prioritized staying current with medical literature and strengthening her clinical decision-making skills, while emphasizing thorough, detail-oriented care. Her background in nutrition, wellness, and preventative medicine has shaped her holistic approach to health and her commitment to addressing the root causes of disease. With a diverse clinical background, strong scientific training, and a genuine enthusiasm for building long-term relationships, Leah is excited to be serving the community at La Jolla Village Family Medical Group. She looks forward to partnering with her patients to promote wellness, manage chronic conditions, and provide compassionate, comprehensive primary care. |
